Alda Shillinglaw Rabon

Alda Latham Rabon, 87, formerly of Pickens Street, passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at Park Point Village. A native of Sharon, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Jackson Latham, Sr. and the late Orrie Latham. Mrs. Rabon owned and operated Aldas Beauty Shop for 50 years and was a member of First Baptist Church in Rock Hill. She was preceded in death by her husband Horace T. Rabon, Sr. Surviving are her son Horace T. Rabon, Jr. and his wife Betsy of Catawba; two grandchildren Jacob and Matthew Rabon of Rock Hill; special niece Donna Murray; two special grandnieces Robin McDaniel and Lauren Starnes; also other nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Rabon will be held Friday at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home with Reverend Charlie Lucas officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park on Cherry Road.
