Alma Mccarter Strait

Alma McCarter Strait, 98, of Rock Hill, SC, passed away May 23, 2022 peacefully at home with her daughter Laura Lewis by her side.
Alma was born August 28, 1923 to Ross Jackson McCarter and Irene Davidson McCarter.
She is survived by her daughter Laura Strait Lewis, daughter in law Laurie Strait, grandsons Ross Strait (Mirandia), Robert Strait (Emily Long), great grandsons Pierce and Briar Strait, sisters Ruby McCarter and Margie McCarter, brother Marion McCarter (Margie), adopted daughter Janet Timmons Price and adopted granddaughter Brandi Eavenson (Chris).
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years , Luther Strait, her son Wylie Strait, son in law Mike Lewis, brothers Paul McCarter and Maxie McCarter, and a sister Louise McCarter Jamieson.

Visitation will be May 26 from 6-7 at Bass Cauthen Funeral Home 700 Heckle Blvd Rock Hill SC.  A graveside service will be Friday, May 27 at Grandview Memorial Park 620 S Cherry Rd Rock Hill SC at 11 am.
