Ane Rose Parks

Ane Rose Parks 81 of Livingston, New York died Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at her home after a long illness. Born June 19, 1927 in Byram, Connecticut to the late Albert C. and Rose Sorensen . She left Greenwich High School after the tenth grade to help with the war effort making machine guns for the Auto Ordinance in Port Chester and New York City. She worked for Homelite in Port Chester, NY and Rockhill, NC for 38 years retiring in 1989. She served on the board of directors of the Homelite Credit Union for more than 30 years. Ane married Walter E. Parks on May 3rd, 1947 in Byram,CT. They lived together for 45 years until his death in 1993. During their marriage Ane and Walter lived in Byram, Port Chester, and Rockhill. She was predeceased by her son Allen who died at 44 in 1992 and brother Neils Thomas Sorensen in 2006. Surviving are her daughter Sandra R. Pfoh of Livingston and her husband John; her grandchildren Elizabeth Rose (Pfoh) and Alan J. Reynolds of New York City; John T. (JT) Pfoh of Scottsdale, Arizona; nieces: Judy (Sorensen) Vitti and husband Michael and their children Michael and Thomas; Kathy (Sorensen) Lind and her husband Eric and their children Eric and Jason. A burial service will be held on Saturday, March 14th at 11am at The Forest Hills Cemetery Section #6, Lot #132, Highway 161, Rock Hill, SC.
