Ann Marie Cooper Bradley
On Thursday, May 20, 2021, Ann made the short trip from this world to her heavenly home. She is survived by her devoted husband of 70 years, John Bradley, eldest son, Gregory Bradley (Pamela), youngest son, Mark Bradley (Maxine), five grandchildren, Aaron Bradley (Penny), Jason Bradley (Lacey), Brittany Bradley, Lindsay Nickalo (Austyn), and Erica Bradley (Brian Kimbrell), and four great-grandchildren, Zachary Bradley, Joshua Bradley, Benjamin Bradley, and Channing Bradley. She was preceded in death by her parents, Violet Hayden Cooper and David Willard Cooper, as well has two grandchildren, Jenna Lynne Bradley, and Stephen Paul Bradley. She lived so close to Jesus that the transition was sure and sweet.
The family will receive friends 2:00 pm Sunday, at Second Baptist Church, 1218 Mt. Holly Road, Rock Hill, SC and funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm with the Rev. Mark Bradley officiating. Burial will be 3:00 pm Monday at Bush River Memorial Garden, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia SC 29212.
Born on September 17, 1930, she lived a long, full life. She worked for many businesses during her working years. Most recently are Southland Lighting and Richland School District One in Columbia. Retired in 1995, she made a wonderful home for the whole family for as long as her health allowed.
Ann was a fabulous cook! Her specialty was the Christmas “Spread”. She also enjoyed making each member of the family their favorite dessert to honor birthdays. Sunday dinner with Granny (or Grandmomma B) and Granddaddy was a tradition that lasted many years.
Her heart was for serving the Lord. She served in many churches along the way in a wide variety of roles. Most notably, she listened to the AWANA children at Oakdale Baptist recite their verses and help them understand the love of Jesus. She and John were faithful members of Second Baptist Church for over 7 years until her passing.
Ann was dearly loved by everyone that knew her and she had an unlimited capacity to love everyone that came into her life. She will be sorely missed on this earth but heaven has gained a wonderful soprano for the halleluiah choir!
