Ann Shirley Colangelo

April 12, 1936 — June 10, 2018

Mrs. Ann Colangelo, 82, of Tega Cay, SC passed away Sunday, June 10, 2018. Born in Buffalo, NY the daughter of the late Angeline and Leo Notaro, and wife of 51 years of the late Donald Colangelo. While in Buffalo, she owned and operated Ann Shirley's School of Dance, and then relocated to Indianapolis, IN where she continued her dance instruction at the local YMCA. Later, Mrs. Colangelo retired from LS Ayres, where she worked as counter manager for Clinique and Estee Lauder for 20 years. After relocating to Tega Cay, SC. Mrs. Colangelo had long careers at Nations Bank and Belk Department Store before retiring.

Mrs. Colangelo was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church and was a member of the Lioness Club and Red Hats. She had a great love of boating and loved to travel with her husband. A wake will be held Friday, June 15th from 10:00 - 11:00 am, followed by a rosary service on at Palmetto Funeral Home Chapel, Fort Mill, SC with Father John Giuliani, CO officiating. She will be laid to rest at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Mrs. Colangelo is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Wayne and Pat Notaro of Syracuse, NY; two sons: Mark H. Colangelo of Rock Hill, SC and Richard A. Colangelo of Auburn, Alabama; one daughter-in-law: Maria Colangelo; one grandchild: Kristopher L. Colangelo, and 5 step-grandchildren: Manuela and Alejandra Sanchez, Vanessa and Ruby Moreno, and Kara Voyles. Memorials may be made to St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in honor of Ann Colangelo c/o Building Fund, 292 Munn Road, Fort Mill, SC 29715. Attn: Father John Giuliani, CO.
