Annie Lillian Mitchell Hamilton, 90, of 1799 Barringer Road, passed away Friday, March 25, 2011 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House. A native of York County, Mrs. Hamilton was born December 29, 1920 a daughter of the late William Samuel Hampton and Lillie Estelle McCullough Mitchell. She retired from Rock Hill Printing and Finishing Company clerical Department after 27 years of service. Mrs. Hamilton was a member of Mt. Holly United Methodist Church where she was a lifetime member of the U. M. W. as well as a past president and was a past president of her Sunday School Class. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Roy F. Hamilton; four brothers Mason, Melvin, Lewis and Clyde Mitchell and a sister Clara Deas. Mrs. Hamilton was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Surviving are two sons R. Julius Hamilton and wife Cathie of Rock Hill, Robert Allen "Bob" Hamilton of York; three daughters Lynda Robbins and husband Eugene of Edgemoor, Claire Whitmire and Debbie Teague both of Rock Hill; a brother Walter Mitchell of Rock Hill; eleven grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren; a sister-in-law Lila Hamilton of Rock Hill and a brother-in-law Joe Camp of Columbia. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Hamilton will be held Monday at 3:00pm at Mt. Holly United Methodist Church with Reverend Dan Bradley officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends after the service in the family life center and other times at the home of Lynda and Eugene Robbins, 4691 Edgeland Road, Edgemoor, SC 29712.
