Anthony Stephen Barone passed away the afternoon of April 10th surrounded by those he loved most after suffering complications from a life-long battle with heart disease. Anthony was boisterous man who would quite literally set flame to a room if it meant getting a good laugh. Then, he'd inevitably turn around make some excuse as to why the extent of the damage wasn't actually his fault.
He loved science fiction, ham and bacon pizza, triple-decker pepperoni, pretzel and mustard sandwiches on potato bread, Cheerios', video games, Legos, and found his greatest joy when being on the stage. During high school, Anthony was a prominent figure in the Drama Club and Youth and Family Services. He had leading roles in productions such as, Our Town, The Crucible, Little Shop of Horrors, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Crazy for You. After high school, Anthony took his talents to Central Connecticut State University where he majored in theater.
Anthony received a heart transplant in early 2013. Though his new lease on life never felt quite right in his body, Anthony carried on. He relocated to South Carolina in 2014 with his parents, met his great love, Danielle, and began building a new home in the sun.
Anthony is survived by his loving girlfriend, Danielle, his twin-brother, Will, his sister, Sarah, his parents, Bill and Kerrie, and more friends and close family than many are blessed to know in one lifetime.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM, Thursday, April 13th 2017 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Fort Mill, SC. with Father John P. Giuliani, CO officiating. A visitation will be held at Palmetto Funeral Home, Fort Mill, SC, on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, from 6 PM-8:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made in Anthony's name to the Town of Glastonbury, Department of Youth and Family Services at 321 Hubbard Street Glastonbury, Connecticut.
