Anthony Samuel Costanzo

December 12, 1940 — February 27, 2024

Indian Land

Anthony “Tony” Samuel Costanzo, 83, of Indian Land, SC and formerly of Rochester, NY, passed away, February 27, 2024.  Tony served in the Army and was in active reserves during the Vietnam War period.  He learned his trade of communications while serving.  After serving in the Army, he took his first job at Ogden Phone Company as a telephone repair and installation technician.  He went on to work at Eastman Kodak for the remainder of his career as a Communication Specialist.  During his career working at Kodak, he started his own telephone sales and installation company and went on to run that company until retirement.

He learned how to play the keyboards and saxophone early on in life and played in a few bands as a young adult.  He never stopped playing keyboards and continued his love for the organ and piano up to his final days.  He loved listening to live music and The Beatles were one of his favorite bands.  In addition to music, he was quite mechanically inclined and was always working on a project, whether it be a home improvement, or rebuilding cars, or just about anything.  Nothing was broken and could always be fixed.  He also had an extreme weakness for chocolate!

He is survived by his wife Christine Costanzo; son, John Paul Costanzo and wife, Kristine of Fort Mill, SC; son, James Anthony Costanzo and wife, Victoria of Fort Mill, SC; stepdaughters, Tonya, Mary, Joanna; grandchildren, Ronin, Conlan, Angela and Giacomo; and host of step grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to all the Agape hospice nurses, physicians, and support staff, along with the entire staff and nurses at The Meridian at Carolina Lakes for all their hard work and dedication to Tony’s needs.  Your kindness to Tony and his family will not be forgotten.
