Born in Providence, Rhode Island
Lived in Charlotte, North Carolina
Anthony was 71 years old.
Anthony departed from this life here on earth on February 5th and has taken up his new place of residence somewhere in the star-studded heavens above.
He was known to some as Anthony, to some as Tony, to some as Ant, and to some as Uncle Ant…and to a few as Coo Coo EE.
No matter what name you called him by, we all knew Tony as a generous, gentle and sweet person, and our loving brother, and uncle.
Anthony is survived by his sisters Barbara Douglas and Eileen Paquin, his brothers Paul Policelli, Richard Hammond and Bill Hammond, and numerous in-laws, nephews, and nieces.
Anthony also was very close to his former wife Pat and her girls Debbie and Donna and their children…and their children. Having lived in Rhode Island up until five years ago, Tony leaves behind many friends and loved ones there as well.
Anthony loved children and especially little babies. Pretty sure it can be said that he liked people everywhere he went.
Anthony also loved his vivid lime green muscle car, the Patriots and very deep-dish Lasagna Bolognese. But it has been reported that would never say no to Longhorn’s ribs or Chinese food.
And this man could ski……he was the only one in the family who could slalom behind a speed boat on Breezy Lake and make it look easy.
Members of the family have described him in so many fond and loving ways.
Such as…
“…full of loving and caring for others.”
“...a Bad Ass behind a Baby Face…”
“…believed in me and vouched for me.”
“…life never got him down…”
“…he was the most kindhearted, generous and fun-loving person…”
“…my uncle Ant was like my big brother.”
“…he was always happy, always in a good mood and always a good listener...”
“…he was a near perfect person…”
Anthony, Tony, Ant and Uncle Ant…you will be missed, but you will always hold a special place in our hearts, and you will live on and on in our collective memories.
Whether in the heavens or beyond….may God continue to bless you and may your spirit fly high and free with Grace and Love. We will all be watching for your sparkle in the stars above.
Rest In Peace dearest Anthony.
