Aram Garabet Aghjayan

Aram Garabet Aghjayan, 69, died Sunday February 1, 2015. He was born in Aleppo, Syria and immigrated to America in 1970 where he settled in Durham, NC to go to school. There he met and married his love, Janis Blake Aghjayan and they had 42 happy years together. For 23 years, Aram and Janis owned and operated Garo's Pizza in Fayetteville, NC. They had two children, son Garo and his wife Kim DeLaddy; daughter Ani and her husband Rob Kelly. Aram was a man with a generous heart and a caring spirit. He was a loving husband, father, G-pa, and a dear friend to everyone he met. He especially loved his grandchildren, Hannah, Blake, and Finn Aghjayan; Addison Kelly, and enjoyed spending time with them. A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 8, 2015 at 2pm at Grace Presbyterian Church in Fort Mill, SC. A reception will follow the service where people can greet the family. In lieu of flowers, you may donate in memory of Aram to the youth ministries at Grace Presbyterian or to the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center where he volunteered.
