Arlene Phoenix

Mrs. Arlene Mary Phoenix, 85, of 160 Cedar Hollow Fort Mill, SC passed away Sunday June 6, 2010 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House. A native of Bridgeport, CT Mrs. Phoenix was born June 5, 1925 a daughter of the late Steven Chalfa and Edna Weaver Chalfa. She was a retired interior decorator, and a member of Shield of Faith Church. Mrs. Phoenix lived in Stratford, CT for 55 years before moving to Fort Mill. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister. Surviving are her husband Harold Whitney Phoenix; a son David William Phoenix of Charlotte; three sisters Edna Domkowski of Denver, CO, Carol Alfonso of California and Ilona Chalfa of Hawaii; two brothers Steven Chalfa of Connecticut and Nicolai Chalfa of North Carolina; two grandchildren Keith Phoenix and Dazman Phoenix. A memorial service for Mrs. Phoenix will be held at a later date in Shield of Faith Church.
