Avadell D. Smith

Indian Land - Mrs. Avadell Dabbs Smith, 84, died Thursday, April 16, 2009.

Funeral services will be 2:p.m., Sunday, April 19, 2009, at Calvery Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Pressley officiating. Burial will be in Unity Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith was born in Jonesville, SC and was a daughter of the late George Russell and Jessie Mrytle Horne Dabbs. She was a member of Calvary Freewill Baptist Church. She was the widow of Rev. T.K. Smith.

Surviving are three sons, Bobby Smith and his wife, Angie of Indian Land, Kenneth Smith and his wife Diane of Fort Mill, and Ronald Smith and his wife, Lisa of Washington, Ga.; one daughter, Trudy Stegall of Fort Mill; two sisters, Jo Hodge and her husband, James of North Augusta, SC and Betty Michell and her husband, George of Jonesville, SC; 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 12 - 2 p.m Sunday at the church.
