Barbara Ann Dellinger

Rock Hill - Mrs. Barbara Ann Mims Dellinger, 69, of 629 Standard Street, went home to be with the Lord peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, October 13, 2016, at her home.

Memorial services will be 6 p.m. Sunday, at New Vision Freewill Baptist Church, 2563 Mount Holly Road (Highway 901), Rock Hill, SC. The family will receive friends following the service.

A native of Morganton, NC, Mrs. Dellinger was a daughter of the late James Jasper Mims and Ellen Luceal Pressley Mims. She will be remembered as a lady who helped to raise many of her nieces and nephews. She was the first charter member of New Vision Freewill Baptist Church where she served as the primary teacher to the Youth Department and she also held many other ministry positions. She worked for the Rock Hill School District #3 for 25 years. She loved to sing gospel music. She was loved by all who knew her.

Surviving are her husband, Buddy Dellinger; one daughter, Angela Jane McLamb; two brothers, Bernie Mims and Ernest Mims; two sisters, Corea Oxendine and Louise Mims; a grandson, Brian Roberts, Jr.; and a great-grandchild, Martin Roberts. She was preceded in death by four brothers, James, Wilburn, Russell, and Dean; and four sisters, Monty, Shiela, Ilabelle and Terry.
