Barbara A Gardner

February 3, 1938 — December 1, 2016

Barbara A.Gardner, 78, of Rock Hill, SC went home to be with her Lord on December 1st. Born Barbara A. Trump of Reading, PA, she was the granddaughter and adopted daughter of Barbara A. Tolbert. She graduated from Reading High School in 1955. Post high school, she worked at the YMCA, Berks Knitting Mills, Gardner's TV & Appliances, Walt Disney World Company where she earned many awards as an outstanding cast member, and Cracker Barrel where she earned her 4-star status. Barbara is predeceased by her beloved first husband, Edward J. Whitehead. She is survived by her loving husband, Richard W. Gardner, 5 daughters, Linda M. (Gary) Kaiser of San Francisco, CA, Julie A. (Dale) Tryon of Reading, PA, Shelley A. (George) Kalfas of Valrico, FL, Amy G. (Terrence) Adriaansen of Apopka, FL, Kimberly Gardner of Reading, PA and 2 sons, David L. (Gay) Gardner of Salem, MA and Peter B. (Traci) Gardner of Reading, PA. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, all of whom she was so very proud. Her family meant the world to her, and she loved them all so very much. Barbara was loved by all who came in contact with her. Most recently she was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Rock Hill, SC. A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 5th, at 6:00 pm at Grace Lutheran Church, Rock Hill, and a date yet to be determined in January at CrossWay Church in Mohnton, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Grace Lutheran Church, 426 Oakland Ave., Rock Hill, SC 29730 in her memory. Arrangements are being taken care of by Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home, Rock Hill, SC
