Barbara Masullo, 71, of Indian Land, died on Wednesday, June 24 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Barbara was born in New Jersey, and lived much of her adult life in Massachusetts and California. She retired to Indian Land about four years ago. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Brad Heitzmann and their children Ben and Sam of Fort Mill, SC, her son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Kristin Silberman and their children Wyatt and Cooper of Ponte Vedra, FL and her daughter and son-in-law, Jeri and Chris Herman and their children, Zachary, Jenna, and Catrina of Cohasset, MA. She was predeceased by her parents, Carmine and Grace Masullo and her brother Frank Masullo.
Barbara spent most of her career as a client service manager and bookkeeper, working with the accounting firms Tonneson & Co. in Wakefield, MA and RBZ in Los Angeles, CA.
In her retirement, Barbara was an avid bridge and mah jong player and the treasurer of the Friends of the Del Webb Library. She loved to travel and spend time with her friends and family.
Services will be held in the parish house of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 7031 Waxhaw Highway in Lancaster at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 27th.
Arrangements are being handled by the Palmetto Funeral home in Fort Mill, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the to the capital campaign of her parish, Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.
