Barbara Tepp Meighan

March 16, 1947 — December 23, 2016

Rock Hill - Mrs. Barbara Tepp Meighan, 69, died Friday, December 23, 2016, at Wayne T Patrick Hospice House.

Due to the Snow services have been rescheduled as follows: A Luncheon will be at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) Saturday, January 14, 2017, at West End Baptist Church and a memorial service will follow the luncheon with Rev Richard Shaw officiating.

A native of Cambria Heights, NY, Mrs. Meighan was a daughter of the late Walter H. Tepp and Mildred Crossley Tepp and the beloved wife of the late Robert (Bob) Meighan. She was a graduate of Temple University Philadelphia, PA where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a Masters degree. She worked for the New Jersey Public Schools for 30 years where she preformed several different jobs over the years including teaching elementary age children, special needs students and was a computer specialist. She was a member of the Newcomers Club of York County where she was given the coveted Carol Fields Award. She will be remembered as a loving and kind-hearted person.

Surviving are her sister, Ginna Bennett Hromyak (Jim) of Rock Hill, SC; three nephews, Kenneth Marcks of Orlando, FL, Kevin Marcks of Waterford, CT, and Craig Marcks of Malvern, PA; 7 great-nieces and nephews; and her loving dog, Molly.

Memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of York County, 8177 Regent Parkway, Fort Mill, SC 29715 or the Levine Cancer Institute, Carolinas HealthCare Foundation, Inc. PO Box 32861, Charlotte, NC 28232.

Whitesell Funeral Home is serving the family.
