Barbara Janet (Martin) Ossman

Barbara Janet Martin Ossman,57, of Rock Hill passed away on Tuesday January 15, 2019 following a period of declining health.

Barbara was born on March 19,1961 in Anderson, SC to the late Robert Romaine and Mary Ann Bond Martin. She wanted nothing more than for anyone around her to be happy, she could light up the room. Barbara cared for others and brought her family together. She was a great cook and enjoyed preparing meals for everyone. Barbara loved music and gardening although she will be remembered most for her vibrant personality.

In addition to her father she was preceded in death by two brothers Steven and Timothy Martin.
In addition to her mother those left to cherish her memory include her husband Frederick "Fred" Ossman of the home, daughter Amanda Phan and husband Chien of Rock Hill, son Jacob Cooper of Rock Hill, daughter Tamerone Gregory and husband Jeremy of Rock Hill, daughter Victoria Pratt and husband Eric of Beaufort, SC., eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Also surviving is brothers and sisters Deborah Loftis, Rodney Martin and wife Teresa, Karen Cape and husband Roger, Leisa Parks and John Parker all of Anderson, SC, and Greg Martin and wife Julie of Belton, SC, numerous nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate Barbara's life will be held on Friday January 18, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home. Bryan Shull will officiate. The family will receive friends with a public viewing one hour prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 P.M. at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home, Rock Hill.
