Barbara Lacasse Smith

Barbara Lacasse Smith, 83 passed away in her sons home on Friday, February 24, 2017. Born in Charleston, SC, she was the daughter of the late Arsene Joseph and Gladys Louise Lacasse.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Zeb Vance Smith, Jr.

She is survived by a son David Smith of Fort Mill, SC, and a daughter Susan Palmer and husband Chester of Orangeburg, SC. She also leaves behind four grandchildren: Maggie Welch and her husband Matt, Grant Smith, Charlotte Palmer, and Joshua Palmer; and one great grand-child Lucas David Welch. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews.

Barbara was former member of the Junior Women's Club of Columbia, numerous bridge clubs, church circles, and the FLPC Senior Choir.

A memorial service will be held, at Forest Lake Presbyterian Church, 6500 N Trenholm Road, Columbia, SC, on Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at 1PM.

Memorials may be made to the Forest Lake Presbyterian Church organ fund.
