Barbara Ann Steele

Barbara Ann Steele, 77, transitioned into the arms of Jesus on Friday, October 25, 2024 in Rock Hill, SC.  Born on December 11, 1946, to loving parents David F. Cairco, Sr and Helen Shelton Cairco of Fort Mill, SC.  Barbara had a special love for babies and children. She shared this love for many years at First Baptist Wee Care in Fort Mill, and Woodhaven Baptist Daycare in Rock Hill.  She loved her home in Fort Lawn where, along with her husband Bill, raised cows and enjoyed farm living. When she was able, Barbara enjoyed visiting her many family members, friends, and shut-ins. Barbara was a lifetime member of Fort Mill Church of God. She was a primary age Sunday School teacher for many years.  She was a former Joy Belles leader and former choir member for many years.

Mrs. Steele is survived by her daughter Andrea Hensley Walker (Greg) of Fort Mill; daughter Donice Steele Titone (Chuck) of Greenville, NC; daughter Christy Steele Good (Eric) of Rock Hill; bonus daughter Marie McManus (Wayne) of Fort Mill; grandson Brady Hensley (Kayla) of Fort Mill; grandson Brandon Walker (Arlethe) of Fort Mill; granddaughters Alexis and Kailyn Good of Rock Hill; great granddaughter Emmie Walker of Fort Mill; brother David Cairco (Wendy) of Fort Mill; sisters Jean Ferrell of Rock Hill, Ruth Dover (Harold) of Fort Mill, and Angie Walker (Tim) of Indian Land; seven nieces, three nephews, six great nieces, and fourteen great nephews.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Bill Steele; infant son, Carroll Eugene Hensley; and son, William Jason Hensley.

The family will receive friends at Fort Mill Church of God on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 from noon until 1:00 pm followed by the funeral service at 1:00 pm.  Burial will be private.
