Barbara Wilusz, 66 of Rock Hill, SC died May 14, 2012. Barbara was born in Jersey City, NJ and is the daughter of the late John and Viola Kerekes. In 1963 she married Robert Wilusz and in 1977 they came to Charlotte when Barbara became an active church member and school board member of St. Patrick's. She later became a member of St. Matthew's and then in 2004 joined St. Philip Neri Catholic Church after moving to Fort Mill, SC. Barbara was very active in church and school; always helping out and getting involved in various works for children and the elderly. Barbara was also gifted in arts and crafts and quilting; she was a member of the Charlotte Quilting Society. She also served as chaplain in the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Barbara struggled in the later years with memory problems and later was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. She always had a pleasant outlook on life and spread goodwill to all she came into contact with. Barbara is survived by her husband of 48 years, Robert Wilusz; two daughters, Deborah Roach and husband, Chris and Robin Schibetta and husband, Chuck. They each have two children; Megan and Connor Roach and Katie and Bobby Schibetta. Barbara is also survived by her brother, Charles Kerekes and wife, Kim; their children Adam and David; her sister-in-law, Carol Wilusz; her children Gregory, Michael and Susan. A memorial mass will be held 9:00 AM Saturday, May 19, 2012 at All Saints Catholic Church, 530 Highway 274, Lake Wylie, SC 29710 with Father John P. Giuliani, CO, celebrant. A private, family inurnment will be held following the services. In lieu of flowers please send memorials to St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 292 Munn Rd., Fort Mill, SC 29715, Hospice and Community Care, 2275 India Hook Rd Rock Hill 29732 or any organization connected with Alzheimer's.
