Belinda Kay Rogers 79, Indian Land, SC passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Rock Hill Acute Care Center on Friday, June 21, 2024.
Kay was born on March 9, 1945 in Roanoke Rapids, NC. She is preceded in death by her parents William Mack Howell and Mildred C. Howell and her best companion Stormy the cat.
Left to cherish her memory are her 2 children Marie “Dee” Cox (Steve Garner) of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Edward E Cox Jr (Janet) of LaCrosse, Va, her brother Steve Rogers (Sue), sister Linda Howell, sister-in-law Mable Howell. Her grandchildren Kaycee Nicole Wright, Jon Kinston Cox, Reagan Nicole Cox and one great grandchild Cullen Mackon Myrick. Also, her sisters in love Sandi Anderson (Allan), Judi Duncan, Nancy Steinberg (Jimmy) and Eileen Miller (Bill). And her best friend Dennis Mockler (Karen). As well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Kay was an active member of Weddington Methodist Church, avid Mahjoun player and gardener. Kay loved to dance.
Her career began with Scotland Neck Hospital and progressed to Halifax County Clerks Office. She retired later from Grier, Furr & Crisp, PA in Charlotte, NC as a bankruptcy paralegal.
Special thanks for Rock Hill Acute Care, especially her nurses Nicole and Bridget also Dr. Koya and Liz for helping her fight the greatest fight.
Kay’s celebration of life will be held at Weddington Methodist Church on Sunday, July 7th, 2024 at 2pm. All are welcome.
