God sent for a beautiful soul…
Ben Jason Sherrill was born October 10, 1977 in Charlotte, NC to Ben Sherrill and Jennie McClure Sherrill. Jason passed unexpectedly March 17, 2022 from a heart attack in Rochester, New York. Jason had just found his dream job, trucking all over the country and taking stunning photos along the way. On November 7, 2009 he married his best friend, Chantel. They had two beautiful, sweet children together, Lily and Levi, and he was lucky enough to gain a loving stepson, (Little) Jason. He was crazy about his cat Kitters.
Jason is survived by his mother, Jennie McClure Sherrill, his father Ben Sherrill; his wife and best friend, Chantel Kenley Sherrill; his children, Lily, Levi, and Jason Kendrick; his sister, Jennifer Sherrill Levin, and her husband, Joe his brother-in-law, Jeremy Kenley, and his wife, Brandi; his nieces, Montana York (Ryan) and Norah Levin; his nephews, Jackson and Charlie Kenley; and his mother-in-law, Freeda Kenley. He is preceded in death by his grandparents.
Jason was the most loving father and son, a phenomenal photographer, and a true and funny friend. He had an "eye" and passion for art, which was apparent in everything he captured and shared through his photography. His smooth style reflected his deep love for sports and music, a big fan of both. Jason adored his family, worshiped his children, and cherished his friends. His family and friends were his life, and he will be missed greatly by so many who loved him dearly.
Jason is now surrounded by the most breathtaking views in Heaven, with the best vantage point to watch over those he loves. Rest in eternal peace.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 2 at Tega Cay Baptist Church, 1875 Gold Hill Road, Fort Mill, SC. The family will receive family and friends following the ceremony at the church and will host a celebration of life gathering at Towne Tavern, 2000 Hwy 160 West, Fort Mill, SC 29708.
