Bernice P Faulkenberry

Mrs. Bernice Parker Faulkenberry 95 of Rock Hill, SC passed away Friday, July 3rd, 2015 at the home of her daughter in Fort Mill, SC with her loving family by her side. Born in Rock Hill, SC, Mrs. Faulkenberry was a daughter of the late Samuel and Minnie Moore Parker. She was retired from Celanese Corp. and Rock Hill School District. Mrs. Faulkenberry was a member of the Jehovah's Witness Congregation in Rock Hill. She was preceded in death by her husband; Oscar "OW" White Faulkenberry, two brothers; Joe Parker and Linus Parker and three sisters; Hazel Dobbins, Cordell Hamilton, and Myrtle Jackson.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00pm Monday, July 6th, 2015 at the Palmetto Funeral Home, 2049 Carolina Place Drive, Fort Mill, SC 29708. The family will receive friends from 1:30 - 3:00pm at the funeral home prior to the service. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park, 620 S. Cherry Road, Rock Hill, SC.

Mrs. Faulkenberry is survived by two daughters; Lane Thornhill-West and husband Wallace of Fort Mill and Rita Perkins-Williams and husband Mack of Mooresville, NC, three grandchildren; Kelly Gumina and husband Giuseppe of Laurens, SC, Harrison Perkins and fiancé` Sarah Andrews of Denver, NC and Kristin Harris and husband Justin of Mooresville, NC and three great grandchildren; Cole, Axl and Carter.

The family would like to thank the following; Patty Doster, her friend/caregiver for all her loving care companionship and compassion. The Adult Daycare Enrichment Center of Fort Mill for their loving care, Mr. Curtis Adams who for years was her guardian angel, to Dr. Robert Fulmer and Dr. Curtis Matthews for their attentive and compassionate care, to Hospice and Community Care of Rock Hill, you were a God send. Many thanks as well to the SC Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.

She loved her family both immediate and extended, more than anything on this earth. She was the glue and backbone that bonded us together and made us whole. She was the example that made us better individuals.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Adult Enrichment Center's of York County c/o Fort Mill location 105 Lestina Ct., Fort Mill, SC 29715 and South Carolina Chapter of Alzheimer's, 301 University Ridge, Suite 5850, Greenville, SC 29601.
