Bernice Mackey Mcclanahan

Betty Bernice Mackey McClanahan, 78, of Catawba, died Tuesday, September 2, 2014. She was a member of Catawba Chapel AME Zion Church and the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Ray T. McClanahan, Jr and a son Lorenzo McClanahan. She is survived by: 6 children: Franklin McClanahan and wife Ora, Dexter McClanahan and wife Deborah, Reginald Culp and wife EmmaJean, Esters McClanahan, Marlowe McClanahan, Bernita Gray and husband Jimmy; 2 sisters: Beatrice Culp and husband John, Conzella Witherspoon and husband Ernest; 12 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren also survive. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 11:00am in the Catawba Chapel AME Zion Church. Memorial donations may be made to the Catawba Chapel AME Zion Church.
