Beth Allison Phillips passed away peacefully in her sleep Saturday, July 31, 2021. She was 43 years old.
Our sweet Beth was a kind and gentle soul who loved to read, travel and spend time with her family and friends. She had a deep love for all animals and especially enjoyed being around horses and her beloved dogs. Her nephew, Uriah, 8, and two nieces, Avery, 5, and Harper, 3, were the lights of her life, and she enjoyed every moment she had with them.
Born with a single ventricle heart, she was passionate about raising awareness of congenital heart defects and helping others with similar issues. She was a true heart warrior, fierce fighter and an inspiration to many.
In addition to her nephew and nieces, she is survived by her father and stepmother, Glenn and Shirley Phillips, of Charleston, W.Va., as well as her siblings, Adam (Dusti) Phillips, Emily (Alex) Bauman and Elizabeth Phillips. She is also survived and loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Beth’s name to The HEARTest Yard, an initiative committed to helping families of children with congenital heart defects.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a celebration of Beth’s life will be held at a later date.
