Betty Webster Canty

Rock Hill - Mrs. Betty Webster Canty, 82, of 1766 Sturgis Road, died Friday, March 20, 2015, at Agape Senior Assisted Living.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Catawba 2nd Ward, with Bishop Bob Trimnal officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.

A native of Iredell County, NC, Mrs. Canty was a daughter of the late Lee Roy Webster and Birdie Thomas Webster. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Catawba 2nd Ward. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family.

Surviving are a son, Eddie Allen; a daughter, Vicki Coleman (Gene); a step-son, Huey Canty (Rhonda); four step-daughters, Cathy Herring (Donald Woody), Cindy Edwards (Danny), Jane McDaniel (Steve), and Anita Hinson (Jeff); a brother, Bill Webster; a sister, Dorothy Hues; 20 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Huey Canty; a step-son, Neal Canty; four brothers, Herman Webster, Lewis Webster, Worth Webster, and Johnny Webster; and three sisters, Cora Lee Gouge, Pauline Manus and Beatris Black.

The family will receive friends 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at Whitesell Funeral Home.
