Betty Taylor Hancock

Fort Mill - Mrs. Betty Taylor Hancock, 87, passed away on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at her home.

The family will receive friends at 1:00 pm on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Whitesell Funeral Home and a memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm in the Chapel with the Rev. Jeffery McWatters officiating.

A native of Rock Hill, SC Mrs. Hancock was the daughter of the late Freddie Taylor and Inez Workman Taylor.  Mrs. Hancock will be remembered for her love for Bingo.  Her family was important to her and she always made them a priority.

Surviving are seven children, J.C. Crocker and his wife, Ann, Barbara Whisnant and her husband, David, Betty Lou Blackwell, James (Haney) E. Hancock, Jr. and his wife, Doreen, Kevin Bivins, Robbie Twedt and her husband, Kyle, and Saleana Pence and her husband, Noah; 7 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, James E Hancock, Sr.; a daughter, Susan Lester; a brother, Freddie Taylor, Jr.; a sister, Frankie Taylor Solis; and a great-grandson, Greyson Ray Hancock.
