Betty Josephine Murff

Betty Josephine Moody Murff, 90, of Rock Hill passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2019.
Betty was born on June 30, 1929 in Langley, SC to the late Clarence "Odell" and Jenelle Long Moody. She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Rock Hill. Betty enjoyed volunteering in the community with Meals on Wheels, American Red Cross, and was one of the founders of the Children's Attention Home.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Otis Springfield Murff, Jr. and one brother Bill Moody.
Survivors include her children Cathy Lyman and husband Steve, Miriam Durkin, Michael Murff and wife Andrea. Also surviving are grandchildren Ingles Adams and husband Keven, Jeffrey Durkin, John Didato and Whitney Dubose and husband Chris, great-grandchildren Madeleine and Kellen Adams, Aubrey and Easton Dubose and son-in-law Hank Durkin.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Rock Hill Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Harbor Chase of Rock Hill and Providence Care Hospice, Erika and Nick for the wonderful care they provided.
