Betty Harmon Spinks

Betty Spinks, age 72, passed away Friday, August 29 at CMC Pineville. She was the daughter of the late Clayton H. Harmon and Lottie Manus Harmon of Lancaster, SC. She retired from Springs Industries in Fort Mill, SC where she worked as a secretary. Betty was a devoted wife to the late Charles Robert 'Bobby' Spinks for 39 years. She will be remembered for her sweet smile and kind heart, and enjoyed cooking, growing tomatoes, and traveling. Betty is survived by her loving daughters Amy Spinks Bartholomew (Guy Bartholomew) and Kristen Priya Spinks; her sister Carolyn Harmon Palmer and brother Sam Harmon; a sister-in-law MaryAnne Sprakker (Pastor Larry Sprakker); and seven nieces and nephews: Mark Sprakker (Sharon Sprakker, Miranda, Michael), Kim Sprakker, Matt Sprakker (Jessica Sprakker, Cash, Pressley), Sally Palmer Gozdieski (Michael Gozdieski, Kaila, Khloe), Ethan Harmon, Aaron Harmon, and Sara Harmon. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Wednesday September 3 at Heath Memorial United Methodist Church 9908 Richardson King Road in Waxhaw, NC. Pastor Dan Moore and Pastor Larry Sprakker will be officiating, with graveside following. A time of fellowship will be in the church immediately following. Family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Tuesday September 2 at Palmetto Funeral Home in Fort Mill, SC.
