Betty Faye Tinker

March 5, 1934 — September 28, 2024

Betty Faye Reid Tinker (90) of Rock Hill, SC, widow of D. H. Tinker, passed away on Saturday, September 28th at Grace Cottage at White Oak Manor in York, SC.

Faye was born in Piedmont, SC and was the youngest of 10 children to the late Gilford Lee Reid and Leona Reid.

Faye and her late husband, D. H., made their home in Rock Hill SC where they raised their children: Rev. Ted A. Tinker (Erleen), Barbara Jean Tinker Parks, and Kaye Tinker Burks (John).

Faye was the owner of D & F Ceramics in Rock Hill and a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, D. H. Tinker, her parents, 9 brothers and sisters, a daughter, Debra, and a son, Tate.

In addition to her three children, Faye is survived by her 9 grandchildren, Shantay Greer, Amy Tinker Polk (Roger), Nicole Stogner (Edwin), Shawn Davis (Jim), Dee Davis (Lincoln), Holly Belk, Myra Tinker Davis (A.J.), Heather Tinker and Bryan Parks (Kathy); 17 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be on Wednesday, October 2 at 1:00 pm at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home Heckle Blvd in Rock Hill with a graveside service to follow at 2:30 pm Grandview Memorial Park in Rock Hill, with Dr. Kenneth Baker officiating.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to PATH building fund at PO Box 52 York, SC 29745.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and sincere appreciation to the staff at Grace Cottage at White Oak Manor in York and her previous care givers for their devoted and compassionate care.
