Beverly Edith Mckay

Beverly Edith McKay, age 80, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 30th, 2017. Born in Massillon, Ohio, she was the daughter of Ray and Sylvia Mickley. She was a retired English, Public Speaking and Drama Professor at East Carolina University and Lenoir Community College.

She was the mother of the late Michelle McKay Belt. Her survivors include her husband of 58 years, Dr. Jerry McKay of Fort Mill, SC and her son, Bruce McKay of Waxhaw, NC, and her brother Ray Mickley of New Philadelphia, Ohio and sister Carolyn Morris of Panama Beach, Fl. Other survivors include her son-in-law Todd Belt and daughter-in-law Shelia McKay and sister -in-law Kaleen Mickley. She has had 5 grandchildren including Caroline, Cameron, and Chloe Belt, as well as Heath and Morgan McKay.

A celebration of life will be held at Four Seasons Community Clubhouse located at 509 Turquoise Way, Fort Mill, SC, 29708 on April 9th at 2:00 PM.
