Billy Ray Williams, Sr.

December 31, 1956 — September 27, 2012

FORT MILL - Billy Ray Williams Sr., 55, of 1075 RPC Road, died Thursday, September 27, 2012, at his home.

Funeral services will be 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Lighthouse PH Church with Rev. Carl Williams officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church and other times at the home.

A native of Aiken, SC, Mr. Williams was a son of the late Billie Bland Williams and Lettie Marie Blume Currence. He received his Associates degree in Industrial HVAC from Spartanburg Methodist College. He was a member of Lighthouse PH Church. He worked for 22 years at Lamars Auto Electric. He served in the US Army. He was a loving father who enjoyed spending time with his family. He enjoyed studying his Bible. He was also a professional cliff diver.

Surviving are his step-father, Robert Currence and step-mother, Barbara Currence; one son, Billy Ray Williams, Jr.; one daughter, Shannon Marie Williams; four brothers, Elbert Williams (Nancy), Larry Williams (Charlotte), Carl Williams (Pam), and Jr. Currence (Christian); two sisters, Regina Key (Steve) and Charlene Blackwelder (Donnie); two grandchildren, Landry Rhea Williams and Isaiah Shane Newel, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Teresa Lynn Boone Williams.

The family would like to thank the staff of Agape Hospice for their care, with special thanks to Christina Cole. The family would also like to thank caregivers, J.P. and Beth Blackwelder and Carla Faye Ratliff.
