Blease Evans Wingate Jr.

Blease E. "Sonny" Wingate, Jr., 78 of Rock Hill, SC. went to his Heavenly home, November 12, 2015. He was born March 14, 1938 in Rock Hill, SC to the late Blease & Inez Wingate. He graduated from Rock Hill High School in 1956. He was retired from Rock Hill Printing and Finishing, and from the US Army Reserves where he served 29 years. He was a lifetime member of Antioch United Methodist Church, and attended Unity at Calvary Church of God. He is survived by his wife Patsy Mullinax Wingate of the home. Daughters Betty (Alex) Cheeseright of Summerville, SC and Beth (Mike) Allman of Greenville, SC. Eight Grandchildren, Rae Bell, Samantha Cheeseright, Emma Cheeseright , Max Cheeseright , Brandon Jothen, Patrick Allman, Amanda Allman and Noah Allman, and one great grandchild. Brother Dewey Wingate Sr. He was predeceased by his first wife of 44 years Rosa Lee Wingate. Visitation will be at Bass Cauthen Funeral Home on Friday, November 13 from 7:00pm-9:00pm. Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Harvest Ministries Church 1211 S. Anderson Rd., Rock Hill, SC at 2:00PM, internment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Antioch United Methodist Church, Unity at Calvary Church of God, or Hospice and Community Care of York County.
