Bob Steele, 79, of Rock Hill passed away Sunday, March 11, 2012 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House. A native of Rock Hill, Mr. Steele was born April 28, 1932 son of the late John Hampton and Enos Knight Steele. He was a veteran of the U. S Marine Corps having served 2 years in the Korean War. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Carrol Elizabeth Steele; and a sister Carol Walters. Surviving are his daughter Lauren McLean and her husband Chip of Rock Hill; two sisters Christine Spears and Gay Player both of Rock Hill; and his beloved cat Baby. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00pm Friday at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home and after the service on Saturday at the home of his daughter Lauren McLean, 531 Country Club Drive in Rock Hill. A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Steele will be held Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home with Reverend Craig Butler officiating.
