He formerly attended church at Indian Land Baptist Church and Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. One of the memories that his children hold dear is the time when he worked for Cone Mills and the whistle would blow at the end of the day. They would walk to meet him as he made his way home carrying his lunch box. He was a special man who impacted a lot of people lives.
