Bobby Shillinglaw

Rock Hill-- Bobby Carroll Shillinglaw, Sr., 84, of Rock Hill, son of the late Luther and Annie Shillinglaw of York, died Thursday, February 12, 2015. He was an active member of the India Hook UMC for over 60 years and was employed by Rock Hill Printing and Finishing and Rock Hill School District 3 before retiring in 1992. During retirement Mr. Shillinglaw enjoyed gardening and working with his lawn care business where he made many friends. He was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Elizabeth Shillinglaw Harper and Lavinia Shillinglaw Lineberger; and brothers, Edgar Shillinglaw and Luther Shillinglaw along with his wife Ruby. He is survived by: His loving and devoted wife of 56 years: Iris Hutchison Shillinglaw; 2 children: Bobby Shillinglaw, Jr. and wife Marianne, Barbara Steadman and husband Earl; a sister: Dorothy McMurray, widow of Gene McMurray; a brother: Eugene Shillinglaw and wife Jane; a sister-in-law: Anne Shillinglaw, widow of Edgar ; a brother-in-law: Bobby Lineberger, widower of Lavinia; and his beloved pet cat: SOCKS. A funeral service will be held Sunday, February 15, 2015 at 2:00pm in the Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Saturday evening at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the India Hook United Methodist Church.
