Bobby Ray Walton

Rock Hill – Mr. Bobby Ray Walton, 80, died on Sunday, July 24, 2022, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at Bass Cauthen Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Thursday, at Trinity Baptist Church, 802 Crawford Road, Rock Hill SC.  Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park – Hollis Lake.

A native of Rock Hill, SC, Mr. Walton was a son of the late George Walton and Katherine Riley Walton.  Bobby will be remembered as a hard-working man who loved his family as well as his church family.  He was willing to give a helpful hand, advice and words of encouragement.  He knew how to intermingle humor with his advice to bring about laughter.  He loved to sing.  He never ran across a stranger whom he did not make a friend.

Surviving are his wife, Linda Mitchell Walton; his children, Ingrid Walton, Grayson, GA, Marnie Walton McWilliams (Tony), Snellville, GA, Jonathan Walton, Grayson, GA, and Michael Caleb Mitchell (Veronica), Hope Mills, NC; his siblings, Janice Walton, Simril-Duluth, GA, and Frazier Crawford, Rock Hill, SC; Grandchildren, Myles A. McWilliams, Nina and Kadin Mitchell; an Uncle, Emorie Walton, Mooresville, NC; sister-in-law, Etta Gist (John), Rock Hill, SC; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.  He was preceded in death in addition to his parents, his siblings, Rosboro Walton, Virginia Ann Walton, Lynn Walton Clark, Doretha Berry and George "Pete" Walton.
