Boyce E Scott

Boyce Eugene Scott (Scotty) , 62, of Rock Hill, S.C. passed away Saturday, September 14, 2013 in the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House. A Graveside Service will be held Monday, September 16, 3:30pm at Mount Holly United Methodist Church Cemetery followed by a Celebration of Life Service in the Mount Holly Church Sanctuary with the Dr. Reverend Kim Strong and Reverend Thurmond Johnson officiating . The family will receive friends in the Family Life Center following the services and other times at the home at 1039 Eagle Drive and the home of Charles and Annie Garris 570 Bailey Rd. Lancaster, S.C. Born in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Boyce was proceeded in death by his father Elbert Scott . He graduated from Lancaster High School and served 4 years in United States Air Force. He attended University of South Carolina and graduated from Winthrop University. He was currently employed by The World Acceptance Corporation as a District Supervisor and would have been there 32 years on September 28. Scotty loved working in his yard, listening to oldies, caring for his pool, watching Gamecock Football, and most of all spending time with his family. He had an infectious smile and a very huge heart for everyone he knew and loved. He was a great husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend and he will be dearly missed. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Deborah White Scott and his son Noah Pearson Scott of the home. His mother Annie Johnson Garris (Charlie)of Lancaster, 2 sisters , Kathy Scott Gibson of Kershaw, Lea-Ann Garris Bowers(Randy) of Kershaw and 1 brother Phillip Todd Scott of Lancaster; 10 nieces and nephews . In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mount Holly Methodist Building fund, 1996 Mount Holly Road, 29730 or to Hospice and Community Care,Wayne T. Patrick House, 2275 India Hook Rd. Rock Hill, SC 29732.
