Brady Lee Moore, Jr

Mr. Brady "Buster" Lee Moore, Jr., 65, passed away Monday, September 12, 2016 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill surrounded by family. Born in Rock Hill, Moore was the son of the late Brady Lee Moore, Sr. and Mary Phillips Moore Odell. He was a retired Sargent First Class of the United States Army with 23-years of service, serving in the 82nd Airborne and in Operation Desert Storm.

He is survived by his wife, JoAnn "Missy" Nivens Moore of Fort Mill, S.C.; daughter Rebecca Moore Banks and husband Mac of Fort Mill, S.C.; stepsons Ron Campbell of Rock Hill, S.C. and David "D.J." Doss of Fort Mill, S.C.; grandchildren Zoe and Camden; stepmother Iris Moore of Rock Hill, S.C.; sisters Deborah Larson of Fort Mill, S.C., Crystal Brown (Buz) of Rock Hill, S.C., and Lisa Campbell (Donald) of Charlotte, N.C. and stepbrother Tom Belk of Rock Hill, S.C. He was preceded in death by stepfather Harold Odell, sisters Eva Mae Ross and Denise St. Clair, and brother Eddie Moore.

He was a member of the Eli Bailes America Legion Post 43, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9138, Fort Mill Moose Lodge, and Fort Mill Community Bible Church. He was a volunteer at the Fort Mill Community Café where he helped to deliver meals and was an avid fan of the University of South Carolina and the Washington Redskins. He was known for his cheerful spirit, outgoing personality and devotion to his family.

Memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, September 15, 2016 at the Palmetto Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kendall Walker officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
