Brenda Diane Smith

Brenda Diane Smith , 72, of Rock Hill, passed away peacefully Monday, May 6, 2019 at Piedmont Medical Center. She was born on January 7, 1947 in Chester County, SC, daughter of the late Thomas Patton and Ruby Goddard Smith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by nine siblings and by her long-time friend, Pat Tucker.

Brenda was always willing to go out of her way to lend a helping hand assisting others. She will always be remembered for her kindness and thoughtfulness and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her sister, Shirley Smith of Charlotte; three brothers, Huey Smith of Charlotte, NC, Kenneth Smith (Joyce) of Indian Trail, NC, and Robert Smith (Molly) of Van Wyck; niece, Rhonda Mullis and great-nephew Jonathan Fleming of the home in Rock Hill; many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and long-time friend, Myra Watts, Evelyn Tucker, and Sandy Brotherton.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 11, 2019 from the Chapel of Whitesell Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
