Rock Hill

Bruce Janke, age 56 , passed away on October 19, 2021.

Bruce is survived by his fiancé Melissa, his parents Paul & Nancy,  his sisters and brother Tina, Brenda, Kelly, and David, his daughters Brianna, Alyssa, and, Stephanie and his granddaughters Delaney, and Avery.

Bruce was born in Florida but spent his teen and early adult years in Maine.  There he worked for a time in the paper mills but eventually moved back down south and made his career in IT.  Bruce worked as an IT specialist for over 15 years and was very successful and contented in his field.

Bruce loved going out on his boat on Lake Wylie and enjoyed the long summer days with cherished friends and family on board.  An avid football watcher, he liked nothing more than kicking back on a Sunday with loved ones and watching the Patriots play.  Bruce was a skilled craftsman and held a deep passion for woodworking, creating beautiful wooden pieces.

Bruce had a kind and gentle way about him that was absolutely remarkable, a true one-of-a-kind person, he would give you the shirt off his own back.  Bruce was always there to lend a helping hand, even in death he was able to donate his organs to help others.  He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who were truly lucky enough to know him.
