Julius Carl White was welcomed into Heaven on Wednesday June 20th 2012 as he passed quietly into eternity at his home after a lengthy battle with cancer. A celebration of life service will be held Friday, June 22nd at Mount Holly United Methodist Church here in Rock Hill at 3:00 pm with Rev. Dr. Kim Strong officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 6:30pm -- 8:30pm at Bass Cauthen Funeral Home in Rock Hill, and at other times at the home. Carl White was the son of Callie M White and Marshall White of Rock Hill both of whom preceded Carl in death. Carl is survived by his beloved wife Lisa and their daughter Haley White, whom he simply adored and his guard dog "Pepper" who was also part of his immediate Family. 4 brothers, Sonny White and his wife Jo Ellen of Columbia SC, Ray White and his wife Gail of Rock Hill SC, Charles White and his wife Cathie of Rock Hill SC, and Donald White of Anderson SC. Carl is also survived by a large group of In Laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends, and there is no way to list them all at this time. If you were part of Carl's Family and Friends then you know He Loved You. Carl White was a member of Mount Holly United Methodist Church and he lived his entire life in the Mount Holly community. He graduated in 1980 from Rock Hill High School where he excelled in both wrestling and football. Carl attended York Technical College and graduated with a degree in machine technology. It would become his life's work and Carl became a superior machinist for the past 30 years. He was employed with Abitibi Bowater of Catawba, SC. Carl White was a Country Boy who loved the outdoors. He was an exceptional hunter and fisherman and over the years compiled many accomplishments to his credit. Carl was also a Master Gardener, he could grow anything, and he loved to watch it grow . His passion for the outdoors was always evident in his lifestyle. His Family and friends were always receiving the fruits of his efforts, he loved to give away his harvest. Many people knew Carl , and if you knew him , then you knew a man who was always happy. He loved his Family and his friends with a passion that is sometimes hard to find in our world today. He loved to have a good time no matter where he was at the time. A special Thank You goes out to Lise McNeil who helped to care for Carl during his extended illness. Your overwhelming Love and support of Carl was simply outstanding . The Hospice Association of Rock Hill also was a tremendous supporter of Carl during his illness. This organization is truly sent From God Himself . The Family of Julius Carl White would like to thank everyone who helped with Carl as he endured this illness. Carl touched lives in a way that is unique to each person that was involved and you were a blessing to Him just as He was a blessing to us. Thank You All! In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to the Hospice Society of Rock Hill.
