Mr. Carlton "Buster" Butler, Jr., 51, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2012 at his home. A native of Chicago, Buster was a son of Carlton and Cynthia Butler, Sr. Born August 20, 1960 he worked in maintenance for many years with various apartment complexes in the area. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren and NASCAR dearly. He was also a member of Mt. Holly United Methodist Church, and a United States Army veteran. Buster was preceded in death by his loving wife Tammy Butler, and two sons Timmy Williams and James Butler. Surviving are one son Carl Butler, III and his wife Nina; one daughter Robin Long and her husband David; his mother and father Carlton and Cynthia Butler, Sr.; one brother George Butler and his wife Kim; one sister Evelyn Byars and her husband Tony; five grandchildren Logan Thompson, River Thompson, Jayde Long, Liam Long and Jasmine Butler all of Rock Hill; and many other loving family and friends. A service to celebrate Buster's life will be held Saturday at 1:00pm in the Chapel of Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home with Pastor Ronnie Helms officiating. Interment will follow the service in Rock Hill Memorial Gardens with military honors. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm on Friday at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home, and at other times at Buster's home.
