Carmen Vega, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away suddenly at the age of 67 at Self Regional Hospital in Greenwood, South Carolina, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Costa Rica, Carmen later moved with her husband to the United States, where she lived with joy, compassion, and unwavering love for her family and friends. She was an example of strength and resilience, dedicating herself wholeheartedly to caring for her loved ones.
Carmen is survived by her loving children: Manuel, Felipe, Diego, and her beloved daughter, Maria. She was also deeply loved by her son-in-law, Nathan, and her daughters-in-law: Tiffany, Katie, and Leana. Carmen was the proud grandmother of six grandchildren: Isaiah, Sarai, Emma, Lucas, Penelope, and Theo, who loved being spoiled by their Tita/Coco. She was loved and cherished by her siblings, Marita, Jose and Luis and their families, and all of her sisters/brothers in law and her nieces and nephews.
Carmen's heart was heavy with the recent loss of her beloved husband, Manuel Roldan Santamaria, who passed away just three weeks ago. Carmen's unwavering devotion to her husband during his illness over the past two years was a testament to her boundless love and strength.
A private ceremony will be held to honor Carmen's life and legacy in Fort Mill, SC near her son’s home.
Carmen Vega's spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for her gentle soul, compassionate nature, and enduring love.

Carmen Vega, una devota esposa, madre, abuela, hermana, tía y amiga, falleció repentinamente a la edad de 67 años en el Self Regional Hospital en Greenwood, Carolina del Sur, rodeada de su amada familia.
Nacida en Costa Rica, Carmen luego se mudó con su esposo a los Estados Unidos, donde vivió con alegría, compasión y amor inquebrantable por su familia y amigos. Ella fue un ejemplo de fortaleza y resiliencia, dedicándose de todo corazón al cuidado de sus seres queridos.
A Carmen le sobreviven sus amados hijos: Manuel, Felipe, Diego y su amada hija, María. También era profundamente amada por su yerno, Nathan, y sus nueras: Tiffany, Katie y Leana. Carmen era la orgullosa abuela de seis nietos: Isaiah, Sarai, Emma, Lucas, Penélope y Theo, a quienes les encantaba que su Tita/Coco los mimara. Ella era amada y querida por sus hermanos, Marita, José y Luis y sus familias, y por todas sus cuñadas/cuñados y sus sobrinas y sobrinos.
El corazón de Carmen estaba apesadumbrado por la reciente pérdida de su amado esposo, Manuel Roldán Santamaría, quien falleció hace apenas tres semanas. La inquebrantable devoción de Carmen hacia su esposo durante su enfermedad durante los últimos dos años fue un testimonio de su amor y fortaleza ilimitados.
Se llevará a cabo una ceremonia privada para honrar la vida y el legado de Carmen en Fort Mill, Carolina del Sur, cerca de la casa de su hijo.
El espíritu de Carmen Vega vivirá en los corazones de quienes la conocieron y amaron. La extrañaremos profundamente y la recordaremos con cariño por su alma gentil, su naturaleza compasiva y su amor duradero.
