Carol Gene "Jackie" Jackson

Fort Mill, SC – Carol Gene "Jackie" Jackson, age 78, passed away at this home on Wednesday, September 8, 2021.

Mr. Jackson was retired from Seal Right Printing Company of Charlotte, NC.  He was a member of Fort Mill Church of the Nazarene.  He loved to cut grass and rock on the front porch as well talk on the telephone.  He also loved reading his Bible and watching westerns.  He was also an effective fund raiser for the less fortunate.

Born on January 1, 1943, he is the son of the late Bryant and Gladys Catoe Jackson.  He is survived by his wife, Susan Robinson Jackson; three sons, Billy Whisonant (Angie), Greg Jackson (Karen) and Chad Jackson (Jill); two daughters, Tara Whisonant Clinton (Shane) and Stacy Whisonant Reid (Chris) and two sisters, Phyllis Jackson Wolfe and Libby Parks; eleven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Carla Starky and brothers, Hubert Jackson, Odell Jackson and Frankie Jackson.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Whitesell Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Stefan Dover officiating.

The family would like to thank Agape Care for the exceptional service provided to Mr. Jackson during his illness and a special thank you to Sherry, Barbara, Chaplain Terry and Alison for the wonderful care that y’all provided in taking care of Jackie.
