Carol Ann Smith, 68, of 4014 Navajo Court, passed away Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009, at her residence. A native of Punxsutawney, Pa., she was born Dec. 6, 1941, a daughter of the late Clark and Cora Ann Weaver Crawford. She was a grant management specialist for the federal government retiring in 2004. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Larry and Mark Smith; father-in-law, Dwight; and brother-in-law, Dennis. Surviving are her husband, Larry 'Bud' Smith; daughter, Lori Gilroy and her husband, Robert of Farmville, Va.; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Smith of Jessup, Md.; grandsons, Justin and Brady Smith of Jessup; sister, Sandra Fairman and her husband, Blaine of Bonneau Beach, S.C.; brother, Roger Crawford and wife, Theresa of Monroe, N.C.; mother-in-law, Hazel Smith of Punxsutawney; sister-in-law, Karen Woodrow and her husband, Dennis of Punxsutawney; brothers-in-law, Al Smith and his wife, Lynn, Ed Smith and his wife, Mary Ann, all of Punxsutawney; nine nieces; six great-nieces and seven great-nephews. Funeral services were held 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009, at Deeley Funeral Home in Punxsutawney, with Pastor Rick Butler officiating. Interment was at Lakelawn Memorial Park in Reynoldsville, Pa.
