Cecil Ray Canty

Rock Hill – Mr. Cecil Ray Canty, 85, died Saturday, February 20, 2021, at Piedmont Medical Center      .

The family will receive friends 12:30 - 1:30 pm Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Whitesell Funeral Home and a graveside services will follow at 2:00 pm at the Catawba Ward Church Cemetery with the Rev. Jeffery McWatters officiating.

A son of the late Allen Canty and Ella Sanders Canty.  He was an Army Veteran of nine years.  He retired from Color Craft of Tampa, Fl.  He loved animals of all kind and especially his dogs.

Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Lee Carver Canty; two sons, Michael Richardson and Charles Richardson; a daughter, Tammy Mackey; seven sisters, Rosemary Roberts, Elaine Cherry, Ollie Thomas, Jane McGinnis, Louise Shirah, Olene “Fern” Lambiasi, and Ella R. Campbell; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
