Cecilia Demaske Blackwood

Rock Hill - Mrs. Cecilia Demaske Blackwood, 77, died Monday, April 17, 2017, at Piedmont Medical Center.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, at Whitesell Funeral Home with the Rev. David Sealy officiating. The family will receive friends 12:30 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home and other times at the home of Teresa "Tee" Rose, 1126 Sturgis Street, Rock Hill, SC. Burial will be private.

A native of Fayette County, PA Mrs. Blackwood was a daughter of the late Andrew Frank Demaske and Leona Blout Demaske. She was a member of St Anne's Catholic Church. She will be remembered as a loving lady who loved her family and friends. She enjoyed bowling until she had to give it up as a result of her health. She enjoyed watching NASCAR and loved watching her son and grandson race dirt tracks. She was an avid fan of the Pittsburg Steelers.

Surviving are her son, Andy Blackwood and his wife, Leslie; a daughter, Teresa "Tee" Rose; two brothers, Junior Demaske and Frank Demaske; 6 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Fay Blackwood, Sr.; a son, Billy Blackwood; a daughter, Linda Blackwood; and a grandson, Drew Blackwood.
