Cedric Alvin Cumberbatch, 75, of Rock Hill, SC passed away Saturday, April 13, 2013. Born in Georgetown, Guyana, Cedric was the son of the late Laurie and Sybil Cumberbatch.. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Alvin Cumberbatch and a brother, Telbert Cumberbatch. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Cumberbatch; 3 sons, Roderick Cumberbatch of Indian Trail, NC, Cleon Cumberbatch of Derwood, MD, and Terence Cumberbatch of Albany, NY; a daughter, Coretta Cumberbatch of Rock Hill, SC; a brother, Colin Cumberbatch of Brooklyn, NY; 7 sisters, Laura Ferguson, Joyce Tadege, Yvonne Cumberbatch, Joan McLean, Linda Abrahams (all of Canada), Jennefer Grannum and Ingrid London (both of Brooklyn, NY) 2 daughters-in law Cassandra and Karen, 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Cedric worked as a plumber for over 50 years. He was a Mason and a member of the Lions Club. He was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church A service to celebrate the life of Cedric will be held 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Epiphany Lutheran Church with Rev. Jeff Lingle officiating. Burial will be 10:00am Monday, April 22, 2013 at Rock Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 - 9 P.M. on Friday, April 19, 2013 at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home, 700 Heckle Blvd. Rock Hill, SC 29730.
