Chance Gerald Mcneil, Sr

Chance Gerald McNeil, Sr., 43 years of age, of Fort Mill/Tega Cay, SC, fell asleep Friday, March 27, 2020 at approximately 7am while at home with his wife holding his hand, and his children at his bedside. Chance fought a 2 year battle with Cancer.

Chance was born March 21, 1977, to Mary Edith Suber and raised by Ernest Stewart. He leaves behind his loving wife, Erica "Nicole" McNeil and 4 children Chance McNeil Jr. (17), Zion McNeil (16), Jordan McNeil (15), and Jeremiah McNeil (13); along with a host of family that also loved him dearly including his grandmother, Marie Dubois; mother-in-law, Pamela Bell; brothers and sisters; aunts; and cousins. Chance married his "sweetheart" in 2006. In 2013, Chance chose to dedicate to his life to serving Jehovah. He was also devoted to making sure his family served Jehovah as well. Chance turned his basketball talent into an opportunity to help others. Chance operated a preparatory school, with his wife alongside him, which helped provide kids an opportunity to attend college free of cost. He was a leader, a provider, a true "family head". He enjoyed a happy family life with his wife and kids. Chance purchased a red rose each week, for his wife, the entire 13 years of their marriage. Chance had a big heart for others, very easy going with a big "smile" we will never forget. A true gift to all that had the opportunity to cross paths with such a genuine person. Chance is greatly missed, we will anticipate, and await our reunion with him. ❤

Revelations 21: 3, 4: "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say "look! the tent of God is with mankind, and He will reside with them and they will be his people. And God Himself will be with them. And He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore..the former things have passed away."

*Due to COVID-19, the family has decided to uphold and obey the government's restrictions on social distance to avoid the spread. The family will hold a private burial ceremony. Memorial services for Chance has been postponed.
